By entering our taproom (even outside at the patio) or any of our virtual spaces such as Telegram, Twitch, Discord, or Youtube. You agree to the following Code of Conduct.
To put it simply:
CONSENT IS SEXY & NO MEANS NO
RESPECT IS MANDATORY
NO RACISM
NO SEXISM
NO ABLEISM
NO AGEISM
NO HOMOPHOBIA
NO TRANSPHOBIA
NO BODY SHAMING
NO HATE
Consent
Consent is very sexy and NO MEANS NO. Get consent before you touch, bump, grind, boop a snoot, pet a tail, kiss, or whatever else means physically touching another patron or staff member. This also includes taking photos of another patron or staff member at the taproom or screenshotting in our virtual spaces. Clothing, fursuits, costumes, or fetish gear does not equal implied consent.
If you need a good reminder, remember that consent is like tea (hyperlink).
Be Yourself
Wear anything you like to express yourself, with a few exceptions. Nudity such as exposed butts or genitalia are only allowed on designated event nights and we will do our best to notify you of this policy for those nights. Sex is not allowed at any time at the taproom, bathrooms are for one patron at a time. Sharing any pornographic images or video is not allowed in any of our virtual spaces such as Discord, Telegram, Twitch, or Youtube.
Finally, don’t wear garments with hate speech or hostile messages. We love our happy and chill vibes around here. Ask us if you have questions about your attire or things you might display for others to see.
Privacy
Be sure to ask someone before including them in a picture or video you take at our taproom or a screenshot or video of our virtual spaces such as Discord, Twitch, Youtube, or Telegram chat rooms. Cross-posting pictures or video without permission of the other participants to other virtual spaces would be considered a breech of this code of conduct as it violates privacy and if applicable, terms of use.
Safety
We always want you to be safe and enjoy yourself. However, every space out there cannot be 100% safe. Slightly Furry will take the right steps to provide as safe of a space as we can for you. We promise to do whatever we can to help you when you come to us with a problem. However, we cannot help you if we don’t know something is wrong.
Slightly Furry will take action against individuals who are creating an unsafe space in our taproom or virtual spaces through the use of hate speech, harassment, or engaging in behavior with others in our taproom or virtual spaces without consent.
It is not, however, Slightly Furry’s responsibility to solve your interpersonal problems. Slightly Furry is not able to prevent the attendance of a person unless they pose a specific, credible threat to the taproom or virtual spaces. If an individual stalks, harasses, or attempts to assault you at our taproom or virtual spaces, report it immediately to our staff. All matters reported are dealt with seriously and may become a criminal matter depending on the severity of the report.
Responsibility for settling a personal dispute lies solely with the with the parties involved and any relevant authorities.
Also, don’t punch, kick, shove, spit on, or drug other people at our taproom. As a reminder, use of Cannabis products are not allowed in our taproom per RCW 69.50.445.
Be safe with yourself. Be safe with others.
When Something Happens
We take all incoming reports seriously and will respond or take action after we have had time to evaluate the report. For immediate safety threats in the taproom, please call 9-1-1 then notify our staff.
Steps to handle a code of conduct violation:
Let the person know that what they did is not appropriate and ask them to stop.
That person should immediately stop the behavior and correct the issue.
